The most important day for a Canadian : Canada Day

Last Wednesday, it was a very special day, particularly celebrated in Canada's Capital, OTTAWA. That's the anniversary of 1 July 1867, enactment which united Canada as a single country.
We went downtown from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM to enjoy all the activities.
In the Parliament Hill : Changing the guard, Musical Ride, Speech from the Governor (Queen's representant) and the Prime Minister, airplane exhibition, music shows but also in the city : free museums, free concerts in the Jazz festival, children entertainments and at night, the fire works above the river.
On contrary of our national day, there is no celebration of war victory but a time to share their proud to live in a respectful and peaceful country. All Canadians were wearing red clothes and Canada's flag as a unity.
We couldn't avoid a big shower in the middle of the afternoon, but globally it was so warm and many Canadian caught sunburn. A very nice day in a pleasant atmosphere.
